This is the prequel novella for the Whiskey River series. I liked it a lot.
My only objection was that is too short. I wanted more backstory.

I did like the tornado aspect of the story, very true to life, as I live in tornado alley myself. I liked that the heroine was ambitious, but is coming to realize home is not a house but a family. Loved that a lot.

I do want to read the rest of the series, hopefully not all stories are this short. I received a complimentary copy from NetGalley in return for an honest review.
